E. Phillips Oppenheim

Edward Phillips Oppenheim (1866–1946) was a British novelist widely recognized as a master of suspense and espionage fiction. Born in London, England, he initially worked in his family’s leather business before turning to writing full-time. Over the course of his prolific career, Oppenheim authored more than 100 novels and numerous short stories.

He gained immense popularity in the early 20th century for his gripping tales of international intrigue, political conspiracies, and high-society drama. Many of his works were serialized in magazines and later adapted for film. Oppenheim spent his later years in France, where he continued writing until his death in 1946.
